A Colourful Day

Last Saturday, the Assiff Law Office team participated in the Edmonton edition of Color Me Rad, a festive 5-kilometre run at Rundle Park.

The untimed event has no winners or prizes, but runners are showered with coloured powder at stations along the run. The splashing of colour is inspired by the Hindu festival of Holi which is celebrated annually in India.

The race is held to support a national or local charity, such as a children’s hospital or a local food pantry. For the fourth year, the Edmonton edition benefits 630 CHED Santas Anonymous.

Created in 1955, this charity is devoted to bettering the lives of children from less fortunate families. Relying on thousands of volunteers and donors, 630 CHED Santas Anonymous collects, sorts, packages, and delivers toys to over 25,000 children every year.

We were also happy to donate $1,000 to help this organization fulfil its vision of creating a lasting and positive impact through giving.  The principle of creating a positive impact by giving back to the community is one that our firm strongly believes in.
